EE Design

EE Design is an ExpressionEngine fan site specifically focused on design and templates for ExpressionEngine. The site is in major need of a new design. This design brings it up to date and gives it some design flair.

Domainrater

Domainrater

Domainrater hired me to create a new “web 2.0” look for their site. This site queries different sites around the internet and build a profile of the site you look up to establish a “rank”. So with this site, I took the information and reorganized it, giving it some hierarchy through color, size and position. I also added in an animated search bar to liven up what is otherwise very static content.

Camp Kettlebell

Camp Kettlebell

Camp Kettlebell is a site designed and built for a Kettlebell training class. The client wanted a clean site with lots of white space. This site needed to have a lot of features but at the same time, have them automated when the client couldn’t create completely original content. They can control the forms, payment, blog and exercise sections in just a few clicks.

UNT Nurse-Midwives

UNT Nurse-Midwives

UNT Nurse-Midwives is a local group of, oddly enough, nurse-midwives. They had a site in place that was showing its age and really didn’t speak at all to their target audience. I redesigned their site making it more friendly and interactive. ExpressionEngine was implemented as the content management system so that they could update the site themselves.

Samuel Project

Samuel Project

The Samuel Project is an organization that helps match up college age students that want to be in ministry with churches that are in need of assistance. I was brought on to take the look of their print material and translate it to the web. One of the struggles in doing that was that the print collateral was very flat. I used shadows and gradients to bring more life to the images.

On the technical side, the site is powered by ExpressionEngine. The site uses two templates, a home and interior page. Placement of the graphics is controlled through ExpressionEngine and varies the location of the title automatically. In addition, a web application was built where students can apply using jQuery.
