Sixth Street for Bourbon Street was an Austin, Texas fundraiser for musicians and their families that had been displaced by Hurricane Katrina. This poster was actually one of the first rough sketches for the project. As I kept refining the thought and the image, it just didn’t fit. It needed the raw, free style of the sketch. So I ironed out the sketch a little and introduced color to the guitar and beads which brought it to life.
This logo and subsequent t-shirt designs, were for Chi Alpha at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Chi Alpha is a group for college students.
The Sweat Shop is a local fitness center. The idea behind this campaign was to take the buttons and attachments (something that is always under stress when you need to lose weight) and give them a personality.
This is a magazine spread for an article highlighting the critical state of the U.S. public education system. The style guidelines were wide open, and I really liked the rawness of this look. In the final print piece, the different layers of all the background images created a really nice effect.
